Glastonbury–idolatry

Isaiah 58:6, 9b-12 (New King James Version)
“ Is this not the fast that I have chosen:
To loose the bonds of wickedness,
To undo the heavy burdens,
To let the oppressed go free,
And that you break every yoke?

Father, we cry out for the loosing of the bonds of idolatry in Glastonbury and England, especially sun gods, sky gods, and mother godesses. The covenant of the Blood of Christ Jesus trumps the covenants of magic, witchcraft, fairy visions, rock music, and druidry. The truth of the good news of Jesus Christ reigns over the myths of King Arthur, Guinevere, Lancelot, Merlin, and Morgana. We declare that at the name of Jesus, the yoke of the Celtic underworld god, Afallach, must bow. At the name of Jesus, the yoke of the Celtic otherworld god, Gwynn ap Nudd, must bow. At the name of Jesus, the yoke of the Lady of the Lake, Celtic water goddess Lady Vivien, must bow.

“ If you take away the yoke from your midst, The pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness, If you extend your soul to the hungry And satisfy the afflicted soul, Then your light shall dawn in the darkness, And your darkness shall be as the noonday. The LORD will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. Those from among you Shall build the old waste places; You shall raise up the foundations of many generations; And you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In.

Let it be so in Glastonbury and England, dear Lord. Let it be. Amen.
