Bondservants, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ; not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, with goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men, knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free. (Ephesians 6:5-8 )
Holy Spirit, please help me apply this in the workplace. Help me receive work direction from my managers without grumbling and do it as service to Jesus. Thank you.
And you, masters, do the same things to them, giving up threatening, knowing that your own Master also is in heaven, and there is no partiality with him. (Ephesians 6:9)
Father, please help me to be a good guide to those you have given to me to direct at work. Help me to manifest your love to those I am called to give direction to. Thank you.
“Look to me, and be saved, all you ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other. I have sworn by myself; the word has gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, that to me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall take an oath. (Isaiah 45:22-23) and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:11)
Jesus, please help all of us in this diocese confess you as our Lord and Savior to bring glory to the Father. Thank you.

An Invitation to get “Sorted.”
Take a moment to invite The Lord Jesus Christ into your heart. Don’t be shy, just invite Him in. Ask Him to fill or refill your heart with the power of the Holy Spirit. Ask Him to heal the scar tissue and wounds of your life. After you have done that then envisage the Lord standing in front of you. Ask Him to walk right through you, taking with Him your diagnosis, your dis-ease, your fear, your negativity, your anxiety, your worries, your sin. In fact, ask Him to remove anything that you don’t want, ask Him to remove the junk in your trunk, the trash, the issues you don’t need anymore.
When you have done that, say thank you to God.
Matthew 21:22 writes, “And whatever you ask for in prayer, having faith and [really] believing, you will receive.” Brilliant… ~Fr.Nigel Mumford+

Thoughts on Rejection.
I wonder if the “fruit” of not being affirmed is a “perception” of rejection. I have experienced that people who have been rejected in life tend to set up scenarios of rejection. Rejection becomes an underlining theme of daily life. It appears that behind every though and action is the question, “Am I going to be rejected again?” Often rejecting others before they are rejected themselves, leaving a trail of destruction. Such a painful existence and way of life, living constantly in self-defense. The victim tends to live in a “high threat” of rejection often setting up a “situation” before it happens so they become the rejector! We pray that the victim moves from victim to victor, to victory, in Christ who will never leave us or forsake us. Thus being set free from this mindset and way of life. We pray that Jesus would stand between the rejector and the rejected, real or perceived. Perhaps, just perhaps, allowing God to push the reset button of life…to Victory and Freedom. ~Fr.Nigel Mumford+
***** Further thoughts on using a cane. We go to the Sunnyview Fitness Center and often see people in wheel chairs or with disabilities. I now always try to acknowledge their existence by looking them in the eye and greeting them. Sometimes when I see someone in a wheelchair I will tell him/her of my experience with the cane. I tell them that I can’t change their situation, but I want to let them know that I know they are there and visible to me. Many have expressed their appreciation of this. When I am led to do so, I pray on them. Torre
