John 8:31-32

March 7, 2013

Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are my disciples indeed.” (John 8:31)
Holy Spirit, please help us throughout this diocese to be disciples who believe Jesus’ word.

“And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32)
Holy Spirit, help each of us know the truth of Jesus’ word and find the freedom in him that he is offering us. Thank you.

Faith in Action.
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1
Along the same premise, I wonder if the following applies:
Perhaps hope is confidence in what we long for and assurance about what we do not see.
Perhaps trust is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Perhaps prayer is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Perhaps encouragement is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Perhaps contentment is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Perhaps peace is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Perhaps love is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Just perhaps…
