Honduras–continental divide

August 10, 2013

The Continental Divide of the Americas is the principal, and largely mountainous, hydrological divide of the Americas. The Continental Divide extends from the Bering Strait to the Strait of Magellan, and separates the watersheds that drain into the Pacific Ocean from those river systems that drain into the Atlantic Ocean (including those that drain into the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea). The divide passes through southwestern Honduras.

Dear Heavenly Father,
There is a spiritual divide in the nation of Honduras. The victim spirit wars with the spirit of authority in Christ Jesus. The history of Mayan human sacrifice, political exploitation, drug trafficking, domestic abuse, poverty, and human trafficking are strongholds against the establishment of Your kingdom on earth as it is heaven.
We thank You that Christ Jesus, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
Therefore You have highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. We thank You that at the name of Jesus, idolatry, political exploitation, drug trafficking, domestic abuse, poverty, and human trafficking in Honduras must bow their knees.
We lift high the cross of Christ over Honduras and proclaim his holy name! Amen.
Philippians 2:5-11
