But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you. (Luke 12:31)
Father, you know all that we need–we trust that as we seek your kingdom you will provide our daily bread.

Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. (Luke 12:32)
Father, thank you for loving us so much. Help us daily enter into your good pleasure for us.

Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys. (Luke 12:33)
“He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose.” Jim Elliot, martyr who entered into glory January 8, 1956, age 28, in an attempt to bring the gospel to the Waodani people of Ecuador.

Holy Spirit, bring us all to such wisdom.

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Luke 12:34)
Jesus, you are the treasure that I seek. Help my heart to be be fixed on you where true treasure is to be found. Thank you.

Honduras–New Covenant

August 11, 2013

Acts 10:15 (GNT)
The voice spoke to him again, “Do not consider anything unclean that God has declared clean.”

Dear Heavenly Father,
Peter was in the port city of Joppa, a gateway to the nations, when You spoke these words to him. Here we stand in the Internet, another gateway to the nations.
Honduras is outside the commonwealth of Israel, but the shed blood of Your Son Jesus is available to cleanse them. The New Covenant is available to all Hondurans. Jesus was beaten, mocked, spit upon, and crucified. Yet, in his identity as man and God, as the supreme ruler of the universe, who had authority over life and death, he said to the thief on the cross, “Today, you will be with me in paradise.”
Oh, that every Honduran could hear those same words, Lord. We pray that the nation of Honduras will enter the portals of heaven through the body and blood of Jesus. Let it be. Amen.
