Mark 9:42

“But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea. (Mark 9:42)
Holy Spirit, please help the leaders and teachers of the Episcopal Church recognize the great danger they are in as they spread their lies and heresies among the faithful. Thank you for Bishop Bill Love and your other faithful bishops who refuse to compromise the truth of the gospel and the need to repent of sin.

Jesus, restore to your church men and women who will contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints (see Jude 3).

Father, thank you for defeating the Father of Lies by the death and resurrection of your dear son Jesus.

A word received: Lay your burdens at my feet. Rest in me.

Access to clean drinking water is a challenge faced by the rural villages. Surface water is contaminated, and even wells have unsafe levels of mineral deposits. Water is often carried by hand from the closest streams or rivers. Most villagers suffer from water-borne parasites.

Exodus 15:23-27 (ESV)
When they came to Marah, they could not drink the water of Marah because it was bitter; therefore it was named Marah. And the people grumbled against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?” And he cried to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a log, and he threw it into the water, and the water became sweet.

Father, we throw the cross of Christ into the waters of Honduras.

There the Lord made for them a statute and a rule, and there he tested them, saying, “If you will diligently listen to the voice of the Lord your God, and do that which is right in his eyes, and give ear to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you that I put on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, your healer.”

You are the healer of Honduras.

Then they came to Elim, where there were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees, and they encamped there by the water.

You are the fountain of living water. (Jeremiah 17:13)

Exodus 24:9-11
Moses and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and the seventy elders of Israel went up and saw the God of Israel. Under his feet was something like a pavement made of lapis lazuli, as bright blue as the sky. But God did not raise his hand against these leaders of the Israelites; they saw God, and they ate and drank.

We rejoice in the intersection of heaven and earth. May the leaders of Honduran society believe in You and out of their hearts flow rivers of living water. Bring Honduras to the banqueting house and spread Your banner of love over them. Amen. (Song of Solomon 2:4)
