Matthew 7:7-11 and Revelation 3:20

October 1, 2013

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” (Matthew 7:7-8 )
Holy Spirit, set me daily on the pilgrim’s path where I will ask, seek, and knock at the doors of heaven for more of Jesus in my life.

“Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” (Matthew 7:9-11)
Holy Father, I know that your desire is for me to receive good from your hand — help me recognize the true from the false and choose the good you have for me.

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with me.” (Revelation 3:20)
Jesus, please help me open the door of my heart to you every day. Thank you.

Bahrain–land reclamation

October 1, 2013

Bahrain had a total area of 257 sq miles but due to land reclamation, the area increased to 296 sq miles, Often described as an archipelago of 33 islands, extensive land reclamation projects have changed this; by August 2008 the number of islands and island groups had increased to 84.

Sing to God, all you islands, old and new. Sing praises to His name!
Lift up a song to Him who rides through the deserts. His name is the Lord. Exult before Him. Amen.

Adapted from Psalm 68:4
