Proverbs 30:29-31 (AMP)
There are three things which are stately in step, yes, four which are stately in their stride:
The lion, which is mightiest among beasts and turns not back before any;
Jesus, You are the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David.
The war horse [well-knit in the loins],
Jesus, You are seated upon a white horse. Your name is Faithful and True. In righteousness, You judge and make war.
the male goat also,
Jesus, You are our sin offering.
and the king [when his army is with him and] against whom there is no uprising.
Jesus, Your eyes are as a flame of fire, and on Your head are many crowns. You have a name written, that no man knows, but You Yourself. You are clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and Your name is called The Word of God. And the armies which are in heaven follow You upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
Lion of the tribe of Judah, Faithful and True, slain from the foundation of the world, King of kings and Lord of lords, You are stately in step in every way. We invite You to the Church of England. Amen.
