From World Watch Monitor:
At least 300 Christians have been arrested in the past three years in Iran. Many of these Christians were arrested while taking part in ‘house churches’ – small meetings of Christians who gather to worship and pray together.
Article 26 of the Iranian Constitution gives the right to religious minorities, including Christians, to form societies and to meet together.
Psalm 9:7-8 (ESV)
But the LORD sits enthroned forever;
he has established his throne for justice,
and he judges the world with righteousness;
he judges the peoples with uprightness.
Our Father in heaven,
We praise You for You are a holy God. We thank You for Your steadfast love and for Your Son Jesus Christ who died to set men free.
We put our trust in You, for You, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You. Do not forget Your children who have been martyred in Iran. Does not the blood of Matthew and Jude and all past martyrs cry out from the ground? Do You not hear the cries of the persecuted Christians today? Make haste and give aid to the church in Iran.
By grace, we are seated in Christ Jesus in heavenly places. We stand in agreement with His prayers for Iran.
Open portals into the heavens where the angels can ascend and descend, where anointings can flow from the realms of glory, even supernatural visitations. Let the praise of the faithful create a habitation for You, Almighty God.
Come, Lord Jesus, come. Enter Iran. Rebuke the evil and protect the oppressed. Amen.
