Isaiah 65:10 (ESV)
Sharon shall become a pasture for flocks,
and the Valley of Achor a place for herds to lie down,
for my people who have sought me.
The Valley of Achor was the place where Achan was stoned for defying God’s covenant by taking Canaanite spoils of war. It is also called the brook Cherith and is the place where the ravens fed Elijah bread and flesh twice a day (1 Ki 17:3-5). Hosea foretells that in the regathering of Israel, the valley of Achor will be a door of hope, a place of song, as in the days of her youth, when she was delivered from Egypt (Hos 2:15).
Our Father in heaven,
It is our hearts’ desire for Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea to become a door of hope and a place of song, a place for herds to lie down. Have not the Christians been crying out to You in prayer? Just as You fed Elijah by supernatural means, we humbly beseech You to supernaturally intervene in the fate of these nations. From death to hope, Lord. From death to hope.
Your Son Jesus is our door of hope. We cry out for Jesus to go to Liberia, Sierra Leone, and Guinea. Amen.
