Psalm 93 (NLT)
1 The Lord is king! He is robed in majesty.
Indeed, the Lord is robed in majesty and armed with strength.
The world stands firm
and cannot be shaken.
2 Your throne, O Lord, has stood from time immemorial.
You yourself are from the everlasting past.
3 The floods have risen up, O Lord.
The floods have roared like thunder;
the floods have lifted their pounding waves.
4 But mightier than the violent raging of the seas,
mightier than the breakers on the shore—
the Lord above is mightier than these!
5 Your royal laws cannot be changed.
Your reign, O Lord, is holy forever and ever.
Lord God Almighty,
Robed in majesty, seated in heaven, You have reigned from time immemorial. You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power. For you created all things, and they exist because you created what you pleased.
Jerusalem is a well-built city. There is a seamlessness between the supernatural and the natural realms that we do not fully comprehend. All the tribes of Israel—the Lord’s people—make their pilgrimage here. They come to give thanks to the name of the Lord, as the law requires of Israel. Here stand the thrones where judgment is given, the thrones of the dynasty of David.
You will be to Jerusalem a wall of fire all around and the glory in her midst. Your royal laws cannot be changed. Peace within Jerusalem’s walls and prosperity in her palaces!
Blessing and honor and glory and power belong to the one sitting on the throne and to the Lamb forever and ever. Amen.
