Mark, Galatians, Isaiah, 1 Corinthians, and Prayer Table

But Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick with a fever, and they told him about her at once. So he came and took her by the hand and lifted her up, and immediately the fever left her. And she served them. (Mark 1:30-31)
Jesus, please lift us up and heal us so that we may serve you.

But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified. (1 Corinthians 9:27)
Holy Spirit, help me discipline my body.

Then he took a little child and set him in the midst of them. And when he had taken him in his arms, he said to them, “Whoever receives one of these little children in my name receives me; and whoever receives me, receives not me but him who sent me.” (Mark 9:36-37)
Jesus, please help us receive the children you send us so that we may receive you into our hearts and homes.

From now on let no one trouble me, for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus. (Galatians 6:17)
Holy Spirit, help us to be marked by Jesus.

Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. (Galatians 6:18)
Lord Jesus Christ, let your grace be with our spirits. Fill us anew with your Holy Spirit and prepare our hearts for the Diocesan Convention.

“Is this not the fast that I have chosen: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke? Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; when you see the naked, that you cover him, and not hide yourself from your own flesh? (Isaiah 58:6-7)
Lord, help us keep such a fast.

The LORD will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. (Isaiah 58:11)
Holy Spirit, make me and my home and parish into a watered garden.

Those from among you Shall build the old waste places; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In. (Isaiah 58:12)
Father, we want to be restorers of streets to dwell in. Guide us by your Holy Spirit in this. Thank you.

WORD: Share the good news of what you have seen me do.
Proverbs 3:5-6 WORD: My word to you is still true. Keep turning to me in your need.
