Israeli elections

March 11, 2015

The nation of Israel elects a new government next week.

Numbers 10:35 (NLT)

And whenever the Ark set out, Moses would shout, “Arise, O Lord, and let your enemies be scattered! Let them flee before you!”

Our Father in heaven,

You are the creator of galaxies.  You control the governments.  You are the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.  Let Your enemies be scattered in next week’s election in Israel, dear Lord.  Amen.

Pools of Heshbon

March 11, 2015

Song of Solomon 7:4b GNV
Thine eyes are like the fish pools in Heshbon by the gate of Bath Rabbim.

Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maidservant to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God, till He has mercy upon us.
Our eyes look to You, O Lord. Have mercy on the Church of England.
Our eyes look to You, O Lord. May the Christians within the Church of England reflect the splendor of Your manifold wisdom and be like living pools of refreshment and beauty, quickening and blessings. Amen.
Psalm 123:2

Romans, Jeremiah, and Psalm 119

March 11, 2015

And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation. (Romans 5:11)
Jesus, thank you for reconciling me to your Father.

Your dwelling place is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me,” says the LORD. (Jeremiah 9:6)
Lord Jesus, cleanse the seminaries of the Episcopal Church. Thank you.

I have restrained my feet from every evil way, that I may keep your word. (Psalm 119:101)
Holy Spirit, please help me restrain my feet from every evil way so that I keep your word in my heart.

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. (Psalm 119:105)
Light my path, Lord, by your word.

My flesh trembles for fear of you, and I am afraid of your judgments. (Psalm 119:120)
Holy Spirit, please teach me to fear you so that I may gain wisdom. Thank you.

What we have heard:
WORD: I will hold you up when you are afraid.
