From the Lectionary for 2015 11 19

Matthew 18:1-5 (NKJV)
At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, “Who then is greatest in the kingdom of heaven?” Then Jesus called a little child to Him, set him in the midst of them, and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, unless you are converted and become as little children, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Whoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me.
Thank you, Jesus, that your measuring stick is not the same as ours. Help me see things from your perspective.

Matthew 18:6-7 (NKJV)
“But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea. Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!”
Holy Spirit, bring to repentance to those who push pornography and drugs on our youth; and where our youth have been ensnared by these, set them free in Jesus.

Matthew 18:9 (NKJV)
“And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you. It is better for you to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes, to be cast into hell fire.”
Father, please help us get rid of everything that stands in the way of drawing close to you.

Revelation 22:5 (NKJV)
There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.
Lord God, help me to see and live by your light.

Malachi 2:10 (NKJV)
Have we not all one Father? Has not one God created us? Why do we deal treacherously with one another by profaning the covenant of the fathers?
Father, help us all live into this relationship with you and your love.

Psalm 105:1 (NKJV)
Oh, give thanks to the LORD! Call upon His name; make known His deeds among the peoples!
Jesus, I call up your name; please help me make your deeds know among the people.

Psalm 105:3 (NKJV)
Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the LORD!
LORD, I seek you; help me rejoice in you.

Psalm 105:17-20 (NKJV)
He sent a man before them– Joseph–who was sold as a slave. They hurt his feet with fetters, he was laid in irons. Until the time that his word came to pass, the word of the LORD tested him. The king sent and released him, the ruler of the people let him go free.
LORD, test and purify me by your word as you did Joseph.

Word: Pray for ears that hear and respond to my word to you. The way to freedom is before you: follow me.
