Luke 3:2 (NKJV)
while Annas and Caiaphas were high priests, the word of God came to John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.
      Holy Father, let your word come to your people today.

Luke 3:3 (NKJV)
And he went into all the region around the Jordan, preaching a baptism of repentance for the remission of sins,
      Holy Spirit, move faithful witnesses to preach repentance for the remission of sins in our day.

Luke 3:4-6 (NKJV)
as it is written in the book of the words of Isaiah the prophet, saying: “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the LORD; make His paths straight. Every valley shall be filled and every mountain and hill brought low; The crooked places shall be made straight and the rough ways smooth; and all flesh shall see the salvation of God.'”
      Jesus, make the crooked places in our national life straight and the rough places plane so that we may see your salvation.

Philippians 1:3-6 (NKJV)
I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;
      Jesus, complete your good work in me.

Psalm 126:5-6 (NKJV)
Those who sow in tears shall reap in joy. He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
      LORD, I have sown in tears; help me reap in joy, bringing in a fruitful harvest for you.

Word: Look to me for mercy in the day of sorrow.

Word: Look to me when you cry — I will comfort you.
