      Jesus, help us answer your call as Paul did.

For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
      Father, help me embrace the cross of your son Jesus.

      Jesus, thank you for claiming me as your own.

Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.
      Holy Spirit, make me holy by your word of truth.

Philippians 3:12 (NKJV)
Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.
      Father, help me press on as Paul did.

Habakkuk 3:2 (NKJV)
O LORD, I have heard your speech and was afraid; O LORD, revive Your work in the midst of the years! In the midst of the years make it known; in wrath remember mercy.
      Revive your people, LORD.

Habakkuk 3:17-18 (NKJV)

      Holy Spirit, help me feed on Jesus.

Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV)
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
      Father, help me live a life of hope and faith.

Psalm 65:3 (NKJV)
Iniquities prevail against me; As for our transgressions, You will provide atonement for them.
      Jesus, thank you for providing the atonement for my iniquities.

I had a wonderful weekend visit with my brother Bret and his family in New Haven, CT. Our son Brett and his wife Sandra came over from Stamford. It was a great time. The cat was glad to see me back and almost immediately led me to the bag of Kitty Treats.
