The Declaration of Independence

On July 4, 1776, the Second Continental Congress signed The Declaration of Independence.

Ephesians 3:8-10 (MSG)
And so here I am, preaching and writing about things that are way over my head, the inexhaustible riches and generosity of Christ. My task is to bring out in the open and make plain what God, who created all this in the first place, has been doing in secret and behind the scenes all along. Through followers of Jesus like yourselves gathered in churches, this extraordinary plan of God is becoming known and talked about even among the angels!

Our Father in heaven,
You made all peoples of the earth for Your glory, to serve You in freedom and peace. May Your extraordinary plans for the Body of Christ in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, continue to display His inexhaustible riches and generosity.
Deep calls to deep. We call forth living water, rising up out of the fountain of tender mercies; living sound, welling up in passion and praise; and living light, blazing forth from the Son of Man. We call forth courageous Christians in Philadelphia, filled with the Holy Spirit, and walking in the love of Jesus.
O manifold light blazing forth from the Son of God and Son of Man, reflecting manifold wisdom like the gems of Aaron’s “breastpiece of decision”–colors of light separated by ruby, topaz, beryl, turquoise, sapphire, emerald, jacinth, agate, amethyst, chrysolite, onyx, and jasper–shine in the hearts of the Christians in Philadelphia during this election season. Amen.
