O Jesus Christ of Nazareth,
We have crucified You, and God has raised You from the dead. Salvation is found through You alone. In all the world and through all of time, there is no one else whom God has given who can save us.
In times far past and present, spirits of death, war, the otherworld, and phantoms have been worshipped in Britain. They can hold influence even in ignorance of their existence. Without the power of God a curse will remain upon this nation and church, causing pain and sorrow unto future generations. Therefore, in obedience to God’s word, we confess that our ancestors in the United Kingdom and the Anglican Communion, and we Anglicans today, have listened to Satan and followed his ways.
We confess that the Anglican Consultative Council accepted a large sum of money from a pro-choice organization, the Satcher Institute, for the continuing indaba process. Please forgive us this unholy indoctrination.
We claim Your name against these and all other spirits of death: Morrigan, Badhbh, Arawn, Pluto, Cerberus, Freya, Hel, the spirit of murder, the spirit of war, the spirit of abortion, the spirit of human sacrifice, and the spirit of animal sacrifice.
You taught us that not only does violence kill, but words kill as well. We confess our personal sins of physical and verbal violence. (Pause.)
Jesus, You are the Lord of Life. You have come that we may have life and have it in abundance. Bless Great Britain, the House of Windsor, the Church of England, the Anglican Communion, and Archbbishop of Canterbury-elect Justin Welby with Your life, Your abundance, and Your renewal. Amen.
O Jesus Christ of Nazareth,
Guard us from ignoring our sins, dear Lord, and incline Your ear to us. Help us to obey Your holy law.
Have mercy, Lord. Have mercy.
Psalm 66:18, Proverbs 28:9
Father of heaven and earth,
Your Holy Word records this solemn instruction to a king: “Speak up for people who cannot speak for themselves. Protect the rights of all who are helpless. Speak for them and be a righteous judge.”
We thank You for the wisdom of Holy Scripture. We humbly ask You to raise up voters who will judge righteously, protect the rights of the helpless, and speak for the unborn. Amen.
Editorial note: The pronoun ‘them’ in this passage refers to ‘images of men’ in verse 17.
Ezekiel 16:20-22 (ESV)
And you took your sons and your daughters, whom you had borne to me, and these you sacrificed to them to be devoured. Were your whorings so small a matter that you slaughtered my children and delivered them up as an offering by fire to them? And in all your abominations and your whorings you did not remember the days of your youth, when you were naked and bare, wallowing in your blood.
Father in heaven,
We were once newoborns, naked and bare and wallowing in blood. We were once naked and bare, vulnerable in our mothers’ wombs.
We confess thhat we have aborted 54,000,000 of Your children since Roe v. Wade.
Lord have mercy on the United States.
Forgive us for our sexual immorality,
Christ, have mercy on the United States.
Forgive us for desiring to please images of men rather than You.
Lord, have mercy on the United States.
Forgive us for sacrificing Your children. Amen.
O Father in heaven, Omnipotent King, Creator of all that was and is and evermore shall be, Your glory fills the earth and releases life.
O Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made, You are the sacrificial Lamb, paying the debt for our sins, redeeming life.
O Holy Spirit, Fire from above, proceeding from the Father, who spake by the prophets, You are the Giver of Life.
Holy Trinity, three-in-one, release life, redeem life, speak life, and give life in this world and the world to come. Amen.
You are mighty.
You delivered Sisera, captain of the host of Canaan, into the hands of a woman, Jael, with a tent peg.
Defend the unborn who may be aborted because of their gender.
You delivered the multitude of Midianites and Amalekites into the hands of Gideon and his 300 men, with pitchers and trumpets and shouts.
Defend the unborn who may be aborted in overwhelming circumstances.
You delivered the army of Ammon into the hands of Jephthah, outcast son of a harlot.
Defend the unborn who may be aborted because of being conceived out of wedlock.
You delivered 3,000 Philistines to Samson, bound and blind.
Defend the unborn who may be aborted because of spiritual blindness.
You delivered the Philistines to Samuel and the children of Israel with a great thunder, after they put away Baal and Ashteroth and fasted.
Defend the unborn who may be aborted because of idolatry.
You delivered the giant Goliath into the hand of the youth David, the eighth son of Jesse, with a smooth stone.
Defend the unborn who may be aborted because of a large family.
You defend the weak and outcast, the youngest and the least. Your strength is made perfect in our weakness. Who can be weaker than the unborn?
Defend these children, we pray. Amen.
2 Corinthians 12:9, Hebrews 11:32-34
You are our light and our salvation. Whom shall we fear? You are the strength of our life. Of whom shall we be afraid?
A host of abortion proponents are encamped around the unborn. We cry out, O Lord. Hide not Your face from the United States on election day. Do not forsake us. Take us up and teach us Your ways. We believe in Your goodness, O Lord, and we wait on You. Amen.
