Jeremiah 18:5-6 NLT
Then the Lord gave me this message: “O Israel, can I not do to you as this potter has done to his clay? As the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand.

Our Father in heaven,
Nigel’s lungs are in Your hands. Send Your Holy Spirit to hover over his lungs, over the the protein molecules in the ground substance and over any calcium deposits that may be present. Remodel the connective tissue of his lungs and restore its suppleness and elasticity. Remodel the airways and blood vessels and restore physiologic balance of the ventilation and perfusion of his lungs. As the clay is in the potter’s hands, so are Nigel’s lungs in Your hands.
We lean on You, Lord, and not on our own understanding. Nigel leans on You, his body, soul, and spirit. We lean on You. Amen.

Subject: Personal Prayer request
My dear prayer warriors,

Thank you all again so very much for your prayers that saved my life.
Keep praying dear souls… it works.

I do need some follow up prayers please:

1) Please pray for the complete healing of my lungs, for the lining, for elasticity, that the scar tissue heals up.

2) For physical stamina = NRG!

3) For my muscles and tendons: that the low grade pain leave and that they are restored and strengthened by the Lord.

4) That I may speak without running out of breath mid sentence!

5) That I may speak boldly about what God is doing in the healing ministry today as I remind people that God is still very much in the business of healing, of this I have no doubt.

6) I am still on part time 2 to 4 hrs a day… please pray that I may have the strength to return to full time ministry, and one day play the bag pipes again

7) For the souls who died in combat I knew in the Royal Marines: David Allen, (NI) Jock, (Falklands) Derick Reed (NI, my drill instructor), One other in the Falklands killed by friendly fire, he forgot the password, and sadly I have forgotten his name.
For the wounded: Tom who lost both his legs and for Tim who was shot and wounded but lost his child when his wife found out that he had been shot, collateral damage! For all the souls lost in combat.

8) For revival of the healing ministry throughout the land.

Thank you so very much dear souls. I really do so appreciate your prayers.

I do so cherish your prayers.
Much love to you in Jesus name

Subject: Thank you for your prayers for last nighs hospital scare
Dearly Beloved,
Thank you for your prayers. I am fine now. Just had a breathing scare… Lynn has Bronchitis of which I seem to have symptoms, so, combined with the very high pollen count and my compromised lungs…(that ARE healing)… I hit the wall and was admitted back into ICU yesterday at 11.30pm and was released this afternoon at 4pm after many injections, a drip line and many oral medications. My fingers have swollen up with the steroids…. my face is beet red from something… I look like a walking lollipop! Feel fine… panic over… Was given many other things to breathe into and play with… Thanks be to God this was the only set back in 4 months…. not bad… bottom line… the doc says I have to do less… ummm Not sure how to do that God?

Thank you so very much for your prayers… it was a little scary…. and the needles seem to hurt a lot more than last time… not sure what that is about… just may be it is God saying slow down… ummm OK God I get the picture.

I feel a bit like King Hezekiah where God gave him 15 more years after he had seen his tears and heard his prayers. Oh God I ask for at least 40 more years…. Hey Jesus you did say ask!

God bless you all, Lynn and I are so very grateful for you and covet your continued prayers.

The doc said again that in about a year I will be able to play the bag pipes again… this will happen….

Much love to you all

Be well God bless you Fr, Nigel+

Psalm 73:1-3 and a posting by Fr. Nigel Mumford

March 4, 2010

Truly God is good to Israel, to such as are pure in heart. (Psalm 73:1)
Holy Spirit, please bring me to purity of heart.

But as for me, my feet had almost stumbled; my steps had nearly slipped. (Psalm 73:2)
Lord Jesus, you know my offences — none are hidden from you — keep my feet steady on the pilgrim’s path to you.

For I was envious of the boastful, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked. (Psalm 73:3)
Father, teach me to be content with your provision. Help me to daily rest in your arms. Thank you.

The Rev. Nigel Mumford+

Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God.; trust also in me.
In my Fathers house are many mansions; if it were not so,
I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you.

John 14:1-2

For the Lamb at the center of the throne will be their shepherd; he will lead them to springs of living water. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.
Rev 7:17

Thank you all so very much for your heartfelt prayers for my very life and for my healing of H1N1, pneumonia, secondary pneumonia and paralysis. Thank you also for praying for my wife Lynn and our family. You all have been so very kind. The out pouring of love has been amazing. How can I thank you all? The thing that has struck me the most is the kindness of people. So many cards, gifts, food, letters, notes and prayers, gosh it has been overwhelming. I have wept a lot over the past three months. I shall never forget the look in the eyes of the hospital secretary as she brought me a full ream of emails, saying, “Who are you?” More tears as I responded, “I guess I am a man who is loved!”

It began last October with a simple cough and a visit to the emergency room. We were sent home with a puffer. I used the puffer and immediately collapsed with respiratory failure. Lynn dialed 911. I am not going to burden you with the whole medical story, most have followed what happened on line thanks to Beth Strickland. (Thanks Beth, great job). Needless to say I feel I have been to hell and back physically, and heaven and back spiritually. I was unable to pray when in a coma, the prayers of the people sustained me. I feel so close to the Lord now it is all very humbling.

I have joked for many years that I have had nine near death experiences and if I was a cat I would be very nervous now. Well I am not a cat. I am a Christian who totally believes that when we pray something always happens. I am alive because of prayer I have no doubt of that. Even after ten near death experiences! Agnes Sanford writes about her near death experience in her book The Healing Light.

Many have asked what I experienced while I was in a coma for three weeks. I had three “showings” that I feel I would like to share with you.

The first “showing” was as if I was in the seventh heaven. I was encapsulated in darkness as if dead. Then I saw black sheets, huge black sheets, maybe 16×20 miles in size either side of me. Each very black sheet had tiny cutouts of people. Light shone through each cutout so brightly from the very light source of God. Each light the soul of those in heaven. I was very calm, but it really felt that I was being introduced to heaven, the whole company of heaven, angels and archangels the entirety of heaven… the very souls off millions of people, it was amazing. Lynn and I came to the conclusion that the people who walk in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow death a light has dawned. (Isaiah 9:2) I truly was in the shadow of death but my light had dawned. Thanks be to God.

The second “showing” was of a Victorian dining room. I was alone sitting at a very large dark oak dining table waiting for the guest of honor, Jesus. It was as if I was waiting for a briefing in what heaven would be like. The room was green with dark wood. As I looked down upon the scene there was a large cylinder above my head also covered in green wall paper. It was the very size of the glass container that holds the femur of St. Therese of Lisieux. My favorite saint! I last saw that relic in the basilica of St. Therese in Lisieux, France in 1998. Why it was covered in green wall paper I have no idea.

The third “Showing” was of grass with a raised modern house made of red steel and thick glass. Each separate room was diamond shape, upended, with three quarters of a floor suspended on the longest span all interconnected. The rooms were kept climate controlled by water, “Living Water” in the lower half of the diamond. In each room there was a gold chain with a gold spoon for drinking the never ending supply of “Living Water” which tasted so amazing, so good, I wish I had the vocabulary to describe how good it was but I can tell you it was more satisfying than anything I have experienced on earth. My conclusion: In my father house there are many mansions. I experienced two of those mansions. Whoever believes in me, as the scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him. (John 7:38 ) The added feature was that there was a number eight painted in white on the red metal of the building. I was moved from ICU room number one where I was in the coma to room number eight. Coincidence? God-incidence?

I have to say it is good to be home, and it is even better to be alive. This experience has been quite horrific to say the least buffered with love and Godly visits from the clergy and the care of my dear wife, with much prayer and laying on of hands. How do I feel now? Totally overwhelmed to be honest. When I hear the stories of many who saw me in a coma they make me weep. Godley men and woman kneeling down beside me and whispering prayers into my ears…pure compassion andd love with a multitude of faith. People were praying in the lobby of the hospital. Many wanted to see me but because of the numbers the hospital had to place limitations. Nurses that would quietly say, “I believe in God you know” so much care, so much compassion. One nurse went home the night I nearly died very troubled. She had a dream about me that night. She dreamed when she came to work the next day I would be sitting in bed with my arms behind my head saying, “Hello, I’m fine.” I am so glad that dream came true!

I have seen the good side of humanity and Christians at their best praying for my very life. How can I say thank you?
I have wept so much, so many tears, of pain, frustration, sorrow, pure sadness and then pure joy at being alive. Tears shed for so many who suffer including my room mate in rehab who was dying of COPD. People of faith, I truly thank you for your prayers as I have no doubt that I would not be here if it were not for you and your prayers. My wife and I are truly grateful. I do challenge you however to keep on praying, lifting your faith, facing God and the very love of Jesus Christ who loves you very much, of this I have no doubt.
God bless you.
Be well, do good works and for the sake of God love one another.

Letter to the Editor from Fr. Nigel Mumford

From: Fr. Nigel Mumford
Subject: Letter to the Editor

Dear Prayer Warriors,
I have written a letter to the Editor of the local newspapers. I would like to share what I wrote:

Dear Editor,
I have just gone through a life threatening disease; H1N1, which hit me out of the blue. I was very fit until October of last year. I was in Saratoga Springs Hospital ICU and Sunnyview rehab in Schenectady, for a total of three months. For the first three weeks in a coma. I felt moved to write to thank the medical staff of Saratoga Hospital and the pulmonary doctors of Saratoga for saving my life. A huge thank you to Dr’s. Ares, Ying, and Del Giacco. I would like to thank the Sunnyview rehab staff and especially thank the Greenwich Family Medical facility, Dr. Austin Tsai and Dr. Colleen Quinn for their devotion, kindness and compassion. The nurses in ICU and all nurses we have been in contact with in all of the medical facilities, and visiting nurses of Washington County have just been amazing. As horrible as the physical effects of being so ill is, the people that surrounded me have been totally fantastic. I have seen another side of human nature being very kind and considerate, it has refreshed my very soul. So often news is rather negative I just wanted to write something positive to thank all those who saved my life and to remind people that it is good to be alive! I really want to say publicly, thank you to all those who prayed for me and all those involved in my healing.

Yours sincerely, The Rev. Nigel Mumford

God-morrow prayer warriors,
Great news, yesterday I was able to play my violin again for the first time in 5 months. Because of the paralysis I thought that was it, but thanks be to God, I can still play it and even play many tunes that I used to play. It feels good to start feeling normal again. Still need pray for my lungs… have not tried playing the clarinet yet!!!!

I did ask the doctor if I could play the piano after all of this. He said yes. I said well that is funny, I could not play it before I was sick! Ironic that…

The wound specialist has signed me off. She is very pleased at the progress of the wound.

God bless you, and again thank you for your prayers. I am alive because of them, of this I have no doubt.

Fr. Nigel+

PS. Mark your calendar for the healing service at 10am March 2nd, Christ the King main chapel.

Fr. Nigel Mumford is stable- thank you LORD! — but he continues on the critical list because he is still on the ventilator. He is receiving brief sessions of physical therapy to help him regain use of his arms and legs and his general mobility. He is unable to communicate, so that is extremely frustrating for him, so please keep that in your prayers.

*      Please pray for healing and rejuvenation of his lungs so that he can be removed from the ventilator.

*      Please pray for the sedation to leave his muscles and tissues so that he can regain use of his body.

*      Please pray for God’s peace to be with Fr. Nigel as he struggles to understand his situation.

*      Please pray for strength for Lynn as she travels this long road.

*      We praise you and thank you Lord for the immense healing that has taken place and for the healing that will take place. May Your Will be done.

*      The following is a message from Fr. Nigel’s parents in England:

If somehow there is a chance of you saying an ENORMOUSE Thank you from David and me and our family and so many concerned friends over here for their devotion to prayer. We are absolutely sure that every word is used and put into action by The Father, through His Son Jesus and in the power of the Holy Spirit. and that none of this suffering will be wasted, but when it is handed back to Him He will recycle it to His greater Glory… with very much love and thanks, David and Jean.

*      Blessings on all of you for your continued prayers. Fr. Nigel continues to need them and will need them for the long recovery ahead.

Fr. Nigel Mumford continues on the critical list but he is stable, which is a huge blessing. The ups and downs of the past 37 days have been a bit of a rollercoaster ride, so the stability of the past week or so is truly a blessing. His ventilator settings have been reduced a smidgeon, so that is heading in the right direction in order to get him off of the ventilator. Thank you Lord for the healing that is taking place.

*      Please continue your prayers for a rejuvenation of his lungs that they may be healed so that he may be removed from the ventilator.

*      Please give Praise and Thanksgiving to our Lord who hears our prayers and answers them and that His will may be done.

The Mumfords have sent a message that they would like to pass on to all of you faithful in your prayers:
“If somehow there is a chance of you saying an ENORMOUSE Thank you from David and I and our family and so many concerned friends over here for their devotion to prayer. We are absolutely sure that every word is used and put into action by The Father, through His Son Jesus and in the power of the Holy Spirit. and that none of this suffering will be wasted, but when it is handed back to Him He will recycle it to His greater Glory… with very much love and thanks, David and Jean.”

Good morning, Torre….blessings to you and to Jean.

A prophetic friend of mine, a pastor from MA, who has met with Nigel and has joined in this prayer effort had the following for me.
It supports your sense to press on with the prayer schedule. I pass this on to you, especially if you have been having a sense about continuing the 24/7 support.

I should mention that when he first began praying for Nigel urgently, he saw the death angel. He did not see that Tuesday night. This morning:
‘Happy to hear the positive progress being made. However it is not a time to let up- I think I see the enemy pulling back only to regroup, to lull the prayer teams into a victory mindset but thus must remain vigilant. ‘

I pass this on to you only because I sense I should.
God bless you greatly, and keep you both close, close, close to Him,
love Susan and Ralph

Torre,
I have been so thankful for your blog posting updates on Nigel’s condition. Attached and below please find three prayers that I have written or adapted for Nigel. I just sent one to your blog, but it is more beautiful in its original form, below. The text below is an e-mail that I sent out to all of the members of our OSL chapter in Winston-Salem, NC.
I’m just telling you this so that you can tell your friends in New York that the people of North Carolina love Nigel. We have sent him a very special symbol of our love in this small Bible. I believe that the Lord is going to work powerfully through the prayers of His people to bless Nigel and many others in years to come.
Thanks again for your very helpful blog!
With hope and expectancy for what the Lord is going to do, Elizabeth Allen
P.S. Below is the text of the e-mail that I sent to our OSL members on 10/20/09. Feel free to post any of my prayers for Nigel.

Dear friends,
Rev. Nigel Mumford is fighting for his life. Nigel is the former Royal Naval commando and drill instructor who has devoted his life to healing prayer. He is one of the leaders in Christian healing ministry in the US today. Several of us heard him (and experienced healing) in Greenville a few weeks ago. He was to speak at Healing Winds this past weekend, but developed a very serious pneumonia. He is in the ICU, on ventilator requiring 90% oxygen (improved from 100% earlier today). His oxygen saturation has stabilized in the 90’s. He is on antibiotics, though his pneumonia may be viral.
Spiritually, it seems to be a pitched battle. I am writing these words to give voice to the prayers that so many people are lifting up for Nigel. Let us pray, and keep praying, all through the night and day. Let us ask our friends to pray and ask their friends to pray, so that there is a circle of prayer surrounding Nigel that extends all over the world. For an update and to join the 24-hour prayer vigil for him, go to https://anglicanprayer.wordpress.com/. You might also like to read more about Nigel and print out one of the pictures in the attached file, so that you can look at his picture as you pray for him.

May the Spirit of the Living God
breathe life into Nigel’s lungs.
May He encourage Nigel in every fiber of his being
to keep fighting the good fight.
May the Lord Jesus gently pick Nigel up,
hold him close, and carry him through.
For He who is in Nigel
is greater than he who is in the world.
May the healing love that Nigel has given to so many people
return to him in good measure, pressed down and running over.
May we all, along with Nigel,
know the fearless peace of the Lord.
And may we rejoice with him in years to come,
celebrating the awesome way
that the Lord answered the prayers of His people
with His great compassion and unfailing love.

When I was thinking about how to pray for him tonight, I kept thinking of Nigel enthusiastically shouting, “God is BRILLIANT!” I looked up “brilliant” in the concordance and found it in the passage from 1 Timothy 6 that is attached and below.
I’ve also attached a brief passage from Acts, calling us to great boldness and asking God to stretch out His hand with healing power. Feel free to forward whatever you would like.
With the FEARLESS PEACE that Nigel talks about, Elizabeth Allen

THANK YOU, FATHER, FOR YOUR BELOVED SON NIGEL,
a man of God whom we love very much.
His life is a godly life, filled with
faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness.
Help him to
KEEP FIGHTING THE GOOD FIGHT
for the true faith.

We earnestly pray, Father, that You will help Nigel to
HOLD TIGHTLY TO THE ETERNAL LIFE
to which You have called him,
which he has confessed so well
before so many witnesses.

LORD GOD, YOU GIVE LIFE TO ALL.
Nigel has obeyed Your command without wavering.
You are the blessed and only almighty God,
The KING of all kings
and LORD of all lords.
You alone can never die.
All honor and power are Yours forever.

SHINE YOUR BRILLIANT LIGHT
into Nigel’s lungs, body, mind, and spirit,
for You are light
and in You is no darkness at all.

Guard Nigel, just as he has guarded
all that You have entrusted to him.
RICHLY GIVE HIM EVERYTHING THAT HE NEEDS
for his trust is in You, Lord Jesus.

Adapted from 1 Timothy 6: 11-20 and 1 John 1: 5 (NLT)

O Lord, give us, your servants,
GREAT BOLDNESS
as we pray for Your beloved son Nigel Mumford.

Stretch out Your hand to him with HEALING POWER;

May MIRACULOUS SIGNS AND WONDERS
be done in Nigel’s life, restoring him to vibrant health
through the name of
YOUR HOLY SERVANT JESUS.

24-hour prayer vigil for Fr. Nigel Mumford

October 19, 2009

Dear Intercessors:

We are beginning a 24-hour at-home prayer vigil for Fr. Nigel Mumford. His condition is stable. The following information is from Fr. Robert Haskell. It has been determined that the infection in his lungs is viral (and not a fungus). His blood/oxygen level is stable and is lower 90s and at a satisfactory level. He is still getting 100% oxygen and is still on the ventilator. The doctors are optimistic. His brother has flown in from England.

Fr. Mike Flynn at the Deacons’ Retreat urged people to pray Scripture, specifically Genesis 2:7 — “And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.
      1. Pray that the Holy Spirit will breathe into Fr. Nigel the breath of life.
      2. Pray that his blood/oxygen levels will stay at this level or improve (but not go down).
      3. Pray that the viral pneumonia will be defeated.
      4. Pray for strength and peace and a sense of the Lord’s presence for Fr. Nigel and Lynn.

Listed below are half-hour segments from 9 PM to night to 9 PM tomorrow evening. Please pick one or more half-hour segments to pray for Fr. Nigel. Please let me know which segment(s) you have picked. Let me know by email as quickly as you can. My email is torre.bissell@verizon.net. It is already 5 PM and we need people to sign up through the night hours. Torre Bissell (Albany Intercessor)

Matthew 11:16-17 and update by Nigel Mumford

December 12, 2010

“But to what shall I liken this generation? It is like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling to their companions, and saying: ‘We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; we mourned to you, and you did not lament.'” (Matthew 11:16-17)
Lord Jesus Christ, please help us by your Holy Spirit to stop expecting you to dance to our tune. You are Lord of the dance — help us keep in step with you. Thank you.

Subject: Healing ministry update a message of hope

Dear friends,
It is so good to be back full time and back to traveling and healing missions. The recovery time is so much longer! It is so good to be alive.
I just want you to know that Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever and that God is still in the business of healing.
Personally Dec 23rd is the one year anniversary of leaving “full time” hospital rehab and coming home. (I have used up all 30 rehab session since then!) That made a new meaning of the song: “I’lll be home for Christmas.” I was home for Christmas, thanks be to God.
Two weeks ago I was able to play the small bagpipes publicly, a step in the right direction to be able to play the great highland pipes again. A huge healing for my lungs of which I am told that I am working with 2/3rds lung capacity.

Here are some ministry updates:
      1) Last week at the invitation of a Rabbi we prayed for a woman who was paralized from the neck down. That night she raised both her hands. TBTG.
      2) Last week I had the privilege of speaking to a retired police officers group. The subject PTSD. It was a very special time. We even anointed a trigger finger! (If you do not know about anointing trigger fingers send me an email at healing@ctkcenter.org)
      3) Last weekend Lynn and I spoke at a healing mission in Washington DC. 380 came to the Friday and Saturday workshops and over 500+ came to the healing service. TBTG. Now here’s the thing a neuro surgeon brought his patient for prayer and asked that his hands be anointed again. This surgeon was going to be performing surgery, on the brain of the woman he brought, the next day! He told me that we had annointed his hands two years ago and that he has prayed for every patient since! Now that is a miracle people.
      4) I found this very interesting: My sister Julie Sheldon was at a dinner function last week and sat next to the Chaplain of the Tower of London. (His boss is Gen Sir Richard Dannett the man who is writing the forward of my new book, Post Trauma Healing.) The chaplain told Julie that he is living in the house where, the kings and queens of England who had just had their heads cut off at the tower, were taken into his kitchen to have there head sewn back on before burial. That tradition was held only for kings and queens. Others were tossed in, in two parts. Something the history books don’t tell you! I wonder what it is like for him to get a midnight snack?

On that note I pray that you will all have a most blessed Christmas and for those praying for a sign of hope and a sign for healing here is your sign:

“Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign. The Virgin will conceive and give birth to a Son. and will call him Immanuel.” Isaiah 7:14

God bless you, again thank you for praying for Lynn and me. I AM ALIVE BECAUSE OF THE HOPE OF JESUS AND THROUGH THE POWER OF CORPORATE PRAYER. I give God all the Glory….

I pray that you will have a blessed and anointed Christmas and that next year WILL BE the year of the Lords favor for you and yours.

In the most incredible love of Jesus: Be well, do good works and for the sake of God love one another.

God bless you

My dear friends,
It is with great pleasure that I write with some very good news. As of Monday my Doctor told me I can send all the oxygen paraphernalia back to the suppler. I am now off oxygen. THANKS BE TO GOD Also as of Sunday, At the 10.30am service I felt confident to not to carry the cane anymore… I was able to celebrate the Holy Eucharist unencumbered. I have been able to walk without the cane now for three days!

I have to say that I feel euphoric… We had a prayer meeting with my prayer team this afternoon where I had a wonderful vision. I saw myself walking through the valley of the shadow of death. I looked and I saw the tableaux of the cross, empty with two crosses either side on top of an adjacent mountain. As I looked from peak to peak the tableaux moved to the next peak and so on. Peek to peek the vision traveled… It was as if I saw the Lord with me every step of the sickness… Personally
I feel resurrected.

THANK YOU for your life saving prayers… I am HEALED, I AM CURED… I AM FREE OF SICKNESS..

ALLELUIA, ALLELUIA, ALLELUIA….All praise and Glory to the Lord… the great physician.

I cannot thank you enough for your prayers…

As my mentor Dr. Francis MacNutt often says,
“People are dying because people are not praying.”
I would add a PS to that statement:
“I am alive because people prayed….”

I am still on part time but will be traveling this week. We will be attending a refresher course on PTSD at Andover Newton seminary tomorrow Wednesday. This program is being presented by the military. I will use the gathered information for the Welcome Home Initiative (WHI).

I also would solicit your prayers for a conference that I am the key note speaker for the Association of Christian Therapists (ACTS). A Roman Catholic organization. The program will be at Waltham, near Boston at a RC retreat center.

Much love and blessings to everyone… and a HUGE thank you to you and to God for the gift of life.

Be well
God bless you

Psalm 34:8-10 and Fr. Nigel Posting

March 3, 2010

Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who trusts in him! (Psalm 34:8 )
Father, it doesn’t matter how much water flows over us, if we don’t open our mouths to receive it, we will have gained nothing. Please help us open our hearts and minds to your word and Spirit — to taste and know your goodness.

Oh, fear the LORD, you his saints! there is no want to those who fear him. (Psalm 34:9)
Lord Jesus, help us fear to offend you; help us choose you instead of the ways of the world.

The young lions lack and suffer hunger; but those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing. (Psalm 34:10)
Holy Spirit, please help us seek after you and your ways. So fill us up that we will come to know Jesus in a new and fresh way, and we will know the Father’s love for us — it will be written on our hearts. Thank you.

Words received for Sunday School lesson 23

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven”. (Matthew 5:3) A word received: Come to me so that you will truly know your poverty and your need for me.

“Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” (Matthew 5:12) A word received: I want your joy to be complete. Look to me for joy that comes in the face of adversity and persecution.

Another parable he put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field, which indeed is the least of all the seeds; but when it is grown it is greater than the herbs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.” (Matthew 13:31-32) A word received: Come, nest in the branches; come rest in my arms. Come to me; come find your shelter in me.

Another parable he spoke to them: “The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till it was all leavened.” (Matthew 13:33) A word received: I want my love to be mixed up with you life. I want to raise and leaven you as yeast does with dough.

Coming to him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, (1 Peter 2:4) A word received: Come to me; I AM waiting for you with open arms.

you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. (1 Peter 2:5) A word received: Come to me, I will build you up on the sure foundation of my love. You are precious in my sight.

Subject: 2nd day back, healing service report
Ello and God-morrow to you all, Well, today we had our weekly healing service. I have not led one for 6 months! It was so good to be back. About 225 people came, standing room only! Lynn spoke so well and thanked people for the prayers, food, get well cards etc. I spoke on the dreams I had and the overall experience of being so ill and close to death and on being temporally disabled. I mentioned Psalm 23, “The valley of the shadow of death” and many other bible verses that touched and sustained me while in the hospitals. My OT from rehab, Julie, came… it was good to see her without the mask! What a blessed day. I came home and immediately went to sleep for the afternoon. I do thank all who came and for the love, prayers and best wishes that were palpable in church today.

It is so good to be back.

Someone from Tupper Lake gave me an amazing prophetic painting of me being upheld by angels as the hand of God touched my heart to heal me. I just had tears coming down my face when I saw it. Especially as I had just asked one of my prayer team to help me up after prayer by placing a hand under my head, just as the angel had her hand on my head… it was all very moving.

Lynn and I feel very loved today as the outpouring of humanity and care fell over us from caring Christians.

The bishop even gave a dispensation to say the ‘A” word and the “H” word today…. BRILLIANT…

THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR YOUR PRAYERS… I AM CURED… THANKS BE TO GOD….

Please keep my lungs in your prayers as I slowly return to work 2 to 4 hrs a day, per doctors orders.

Be well.
God bless you,
Fr. Nigel+
