“If you take away the yoke from your midst, the pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness, (Isaiah 58:9b)
LORD, transform the relationships of your people in this diocese.
If you extend your soul to the hungry and satisfy the afflicted soul, (Isaiah 58:10a)
Holy Spirit, give us Jesus’ compassion for the hungry and afflicted.
Then your light shall dawn in the darkness, and your darkness shall be as the noonday. (Isaiah 58:10b)
Jesus, help us walk by your light in this time of darkness in the church and in the nation.
The LORD will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones; you shall be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. (Isaiah 58:11)
Father, help me to be a well-watered garden where others may find refreshment.

Those from among you shall build the old waste places; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, the Restorer of Streets to Dwell In. (Isaiah 58:12)
Lord Jesus, hear the cries of your people — that the streets of Hamilton Hill and Schenectady and all the communities of this diocese will be safe to walk in. Help us by our words and deeds bear witness of what you have done to repair the breach between God and man, and make us restorers of streets to dwell in.
