On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” (John 7:37-38 )
Jesus, I thirst! Help me daily drink of your living waters. Let your rivers of living water flow out of me to others.
But this he spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified. (John 7:39)
Come, Holy Spirit, renew inour day and throughout this diocese the wonders of your Pentecost.
Now it came to pass, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, that one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.” (Luke 11:1)
Holy Spirit, please help us in this diocese to be a people of prayer. Guide us in our prayers so that we pray with your mind and will. Thank you for helping us persist in prayer.
A word received: I love you. Look to me for help.
