Dear Jerry,
++Ben and Mama Gloria arrived in DC safely last night in the midst of wild thunderstorms and tornado warnings.
However, the news re. getting on an earlier flight tomorrow does not look hopeful—but for God. I just got off the phone with United Airlines—what a challenge to finally speak with a real person. The lady was not encouraging about the possibility of stand-by for either of the earlier flights. She said that they were both sold out.
Since there were 5-7 seats still available on the 12:27 pm flight yesterday, Edwina will take them to Dulles around 8:00 am tomorrow and investigate the possibility of getting them on the standby list. Once we know how that stands, she’ll call Lynne. Don’t worry, she won’t leave them languishing at the airport all day.
So, alert the intercessors. Our God is big enough to make a way when there seems to be no way! He has big plans for you all this weekend and will not be thwarted. Blessings, Carol

Subject: Intercessory Prayer for ++Ben and Gloria Kwashi

Dear Torre,
Please ask your intercessors to pray that God would facilitate the Kwashi’s getting on an earlier flight out of Washington’s Dulles International Airport so they arrives in time for Evensong and the opening of Convention. And needless to say, safe travel for them and the Curtis’s (Dcn Lynne and Clark) who are meeting them and driving them to Speculator. In Jesus our Saviour, Jerry

***** Then his disciples came and said to him, “Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?” (Matthew 15:12)
Lord Jesus, the leaders and teachers of the Episcopal Church are still offended by what you have said.

But he answered and said, “Every plant which my heavenly father has not planted will be uprooted. (Matthew 15:13)
Holy Spirit, guide us as we deal with the tares in our lives and in your church.

Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.” (Matthew 15:14)
Jesus, please help Bishop Bill and the leaders and teachers of this diocese to keep their attention on you and not on the blind leaders of the Episcopal Church.

In the day when I cried out, you answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul. (Psalm 138:3)
Father, thank you for hearing my cries to you.
