Psalm 65:1-5

June 9, 2008

Praise is awaiting you, O God, in Zion; and to you the vow shall be performed. (Psalm 65:1)
O God, we cannot praise you enough for all that you did at the Diocesan Convention. Please help us each day to live out the vows we have made to you.

O you who hear prayer, to you all flesh will come. (Psalm 65:2)
Jesus, thank you for hearing our prayers and interceding for us; please let all who do not know you yet in this diocese come to you in faith.

Iniquities prevail against me; as for our transgressions, you will provide atonement for them. (Psalm 65:3)
Jesus, thank you for providing the atonement for our sins, for my sins.

Blessed is the man you choose, and cause to approach you, that he may dwell in your courts. We shall be satisfied with the goodness of your house, of your holy temple. (Psalm 65:4)
Father, better is one day in your courts than thousands elsewhere!

By awesome deeds in righteousness you will answer us, O God of our salvation, you who are the confidence of all the ends of the earth, and of the far-off seas; (Psalm 65:5)
Holy Spirit, you have given us confidence to go forward on the path of righteousness that Jesus has marked out for us; thank you. And thank you for bringing to us your witnesses from across the far-off seas to the Diocesan Convention.
